Summer Chess Camp
Schedule Information:

Week-long full day chess camp (9 am - 4 pm) Includes:

• Instruction from US Women's National Chess Champion and & female coaching staff
• PALS Digital Chess Camp Book of Knowledge
• 18 dynamic, original chess lessons
• 16 team and individual competitions & games
• Blindfold chess
• Greatest potential amount of PALS Camp Cash earned throughout the week (due to camper being there all 5 days) to spend at the end-of-camp chess boutique on Friday afternoon.

MONDAY: Pajama & Popcorn Movie Night

Wear your favorite cozy, crazy pajamas, enjoy hot popcorn from a movie-style popcorn maker, eat a yummy, sweet treat all while watching an inspiring chess movie with all of your fellow campers!

TUESDAY: Anything...But...Chess...Game Night! 

We will bring the games to you! We've hired Denver's best game truck to bring their unique mobile gaming theatre to our Rocky Mountain Campers for an unbelievably fun night!

WEDNESDAY: Simul & Spa Night
(Campers vs. US Women's National Champion)

Campers vs. US Women's National Champion for a spectacular simultaneous chess match.  After the competition, campers can pamper themselves at one of our special PALS' spa-pod stations!

Early Bird Registration 

I understand that I will be asked to electronically sign certain agreements in this online signing process.  To provide my electronic signature, I will sign my name in the text box. By entering my name in the box, I agree that my electronic signature is the legal equivalent of my handwritten signature and that by affixing my electronic signature to the PALS Chess Academy LLC registration, I agree to be fully and legally bound by the provisions contained in each of these agreements. 

By signing up for PALS Chess Academy LLC chess clubs, tournaments, or camps, the participant, (or parent/guardian if a minor), in this activity acknowledges the risks associated with the activity and agrees to hold PALS Chess Academy LLC, The McConnell family and any other employees or volunteers regarding chess clubs, tournaments, and camps harmless, in the event of any damages or injury that may arise.

By providing this electronic signature and participating in, or authorizing participation in, PALS Chess Academy LLC chess clubs, tournaments, or camps in any way whatsoever, you hereby release and hold harmless forever PALS Chess Academy LLC, its instructors, employees, agents, and consultants from any and all liability, for any claim, demand, injury, expense, damage, action or cause of action arising out of or connected with the services or facilities of these entities, including those arising from acts of active or passive negligence.

PALS Refund and Schedule Change Policies:

PALS Chess Academy camp refund policy:
*30 days' notice or more, in writing, prior to start date of a camp: 75% refund
*14 days or more, in writing, prior to start of date of camp: 50% refund
*Less than 14 days, in writing-50% credit towards future camp registration.

PALS Chess Academy camp schedule change policy:
Any changes to your original camp registration (day schedule, camp location, or date changes)
*30 days or more, in writing, prior to start date of a camp: $25 fee per camp registration
*14 days or more, in writing, prior to start date of a camp: $35 fee per camp registration
*Less than 14 days, in writing, prior to start date of a camp: $50 fee per camp registration

Photo and Marketing Agreement

By signing, I have read and agree to the PALS Chess Academy Camp Refund and Schedule Change policy and I give permission for photos captured during regular chess camp to be used solely in PALS news stories, the PALS website, or other PALS promotional materials.

Emergency Medical Consent

In the event of an emergency requiring medical attention for my child/children, I understand that PALS Chess instructors will make every effort to contact me. However, if I cannot be reached, I give permission for a licensed physician or medical treatment center to administer emergency medical care if needed.
